Explore the West of England with free bus travel

This offer is available to North Somerset residents only and allows unlimited travel for the day on all First Bus services across the region (excluding Airport & special event services).   

To claim the free day ticket, simply submit your details here and download the First Bus app. The ticket voucher code will be redeemable directly through the app, open until Monday 30 September. 

The day ticket provides an excellent opportunity to explore the West of England without worrying about transportation costs. The free day ticket grants access to First Bus routes across the region, making it easier than ever to visit local attractions, run errands, or simply enjoy a day out. 

Visit the WEST website and use the journey planner tool to find the bus you need.  

North Somerset has a lot to offer, here’s just a few of the events going on over the next few weeks you may want to travel by bus to: 

  • Weston Wallz 2024 from 31st August to Saturday, 14th September, Upfest has revealed an impressive lineup of world-class artists and free arts activity programme.  
  • Dance routines, martial arts displays, and free activities will be on offer during a celebration event to mark the 20th anniversary of The Campus in Weston-super-Mare. Local community groups who regularly use the space will showcase what the centre has to offer from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 7 September.

  • Whirligig Festival of Outdoor Arts, Italian Gardens, Weston-super-Mare, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September.

  • Cafe Mambo Ibiza Classics on The Beach, Weston Beach, Weston-super-Mare, Saturday 7 September 
  • eat:Weston, Italian Gardens, Weston-super-Mare, Saturday 28 September 

North Somerset Council is committed to enhancing public transport through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, funded by the Department for Transport. This plan aims to create a well-connected, efficient bus network that meets the needs of communities today and in the future, ensuring bus services are sustainable for years to come.
