Lulu Kennedy‘s Fashion East is an unstoppable force in British fashion. Having nurtured dozens of top-tier designers, Fashion East constantly welcomes the next generation of UK designers to showcase their collections under the industry light. For Spring/Summer 2025, Fashion East welcomed three new runway faces, with Olly Shinder returning for his second season.
Showcased in East London’s Truman Brewery, the collaborative runway was set against a peeling cement background, with second-timer Olly Shinder debuting his sophomore on-schedule collection with 17 sensually apocalyptic looks. Gothic nautical uniforms defined the collection, beginning with blackened uniforms accessorized with stripped neck scarves. Oversized and exposed shorts strung up by crossed suspenders against nude torsos, followed by khaki co-ords, collared athletic tracksuits, and navy costumes with braided whips.
Nuba was up next, presenting their SS25 “SIM” collection covered in the brand’s signature draping techniques. The range began with long-sleeve dress shirts turned upside down with sensual chest cutouts, succeeded by hooded tops, puffed dresses, and slashed maxi skirts in glistening silk. In third place came Loutre, expanding on its skateboarding roots with dynamic streetwear taking over British avenues. New York met London on the runway, kicking off with enlarged fur coats and distressed baseball caps. Draped blazers were paired with glossy trousers, followed by fur-trimmed tracksuits, cable-knit zip-ups, and drawstring-heavy workwear jackets complemented by studded jorts and paneled trench coats.
