Cambodia will host Mongolia on Friday at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh in the first of a two-match friendly series between these two nations.

Neither side have claimed a positive result in 2024, with the Cambodians losing 4-1 to Guyana in March, while the Blue Wolves suffered a 3-0 defeat to Tanzania.

We say: Cambodia 1-0 Mongolia

The Mongols are experiencing a scoring crisis at the moment and seem to be lacking their share of creativity and attacking prowess regardless of who they face.

Cambodia have not fared much better, but we project a narrow victory for them, given they will be at home, where they look more at ease at the back and in possession.

Czech Republic will kickstart their preparations for this summer’s European Championship with a friendly against Malta in Austria on Friday night.

Ivan Hasek’s side are building towards their Euro 2024 opener against Portugal on June 18, while Malta will return to competitive action in the UEFA Nations League at the start of September.

We say: Czech Republic 2-0 Malta

Malta are capable of making this a competitive match, which is what Czech Republic will want at this stage of their preparations for Euro 2024. However, we are expecting Hasek’s team to record a victory in their first of two warm-up fixtures for the European Championship,

Armenia will be bidding to end a four-game losing run in all competitions when they tackle Kazakhstan in an international friendly on Friday night.

The hosts will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Slovenia on Tuesday, while Kazakhstan lost 2-1 to Luxembourg in their last international fixture at the end of March.

We say: Armenia 1-1 Kazakhstan

As mentioned, the two sides played out a 1-1 draw when they last met in October 2017; a lot has changed since then, but both teams will be expecting a tight game on Friday, and we can see the spoils being shared once again.

Belarus will continue their preparations for the return of UEFA Nations League football with a friendly against Russia in Minsk on Friday night.

Carlos Ferrer’s side will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Belarus, while Russia recorded a 4-0 victory over Russia in their last friendly.

We say: Belarus 1-1 Russia

It is difficult to know exactly what to expect from international friendlies at this stage of the year, especially as neither side are playing in the European Championship. It would not be a surprise to see a win either way here, but we believe that a tight match will finish all square.

Albania conclude their preparations for Euro 2024 with a friendly fixture against Azerbaijan at Haladas Stadion in Hungary on Friday night.

The two nations do battle for the first time since November 2011 when Azerbaijan claimed a slender 1-0 friendly victory.

We say: Albania 2-0 Azerbaijan

Both nations will fancy their chances of claiming a positive result from Friday’s fixture, but considering the recent rise of Albania and the importance a victory could have on their preparations for Euro 2024, we believe Sylvinho’s side will find a way to come out on top.

Romania will round off their preparations for this summer’s European Championship with a clash against Liechtenstein in Bucharest on Friday night.

The hosts drew 0-0 with Bulgaria in their last friendly fixture on Tuesday, while the visitors will enter the contest off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Albania on Monday.

We say: Romania 3-0 Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein have conceded eight twice and seven once in their previous six games with Romania, but the last two fixtures have only finished 2-0. We are not expecting a particularly high score on Friday, but it would be a shock if Romania were not comfortably victorious in this international friendly.

Scotland conclude their preparations for Euro 2024 by playing host to Finland in an international friendly on Friday night.

While the home side are going through their paces ahead of travelling to Germany, this is Finland’s last match before the UEFA Nations League which starts in September.

We say: Scotland 2-1 Finland

Having pushed Portugal on Tuesday night, Finland will feel that they have some momentum ahead of this contest. However, motivated to head to Germany with a boost of their own, we fancy Scotland to edge this contest through a late goal.

England‘s Euro 2024 hopefuls have one final chance to impress Gareth Southgate on Friday evening, when Euro 2016 conquerors Iceland arrive at Wembley for a friendly encounter and their final warm-up fixture.

The Three Lions made hard work of their clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday but still ran out 3-0 winners, while their visitors have not been in action since having their Euros dreams dashed by Ukraine in March.

We say: England 3-0 Iceland

The manner of England’s first-half display against Bosnia certainly left plenty to be desired, but with a host of big-hitters primed to return, the Three Lions should be back to their best – or close enough – at Wembley.

A handful of young Icelandic talents may be making waves in Europe, but with no Gudmundsson and no Finnbogason leading the charge, keeping the scoreline respectable should be their sole goal.

Poland and Ukraine continue their preparations for Euro 2024 with an international friendly in Warsaw on Friday evening.

These two nations only qualified for the competition in Germany through the playoffs and will now hope to generate some momentum ahead of bidding to try to reach the last 16.

We say: Poland 1-1 Ukraine

Although Ukraine may have benefitted from their outing on Monday, Poland will feel fresher and better prepared. All things considered, these two well-matched teams may cancel each other out in a low-scoring draw in Warsaw.

Germany welcome Greece to Borussia-Park on Friday night for their final warm-up fixture before hosting Euro 2024.

The two nations meet for the first time in 12 years when Die Mannschaft claimed a 4-2 victory in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.

We say: Germany 2-0 Greece

After failing to find the net on Monday, Germany will be keen to rediscover their groove in the final third in their last match before kicking off Euro 2024. Boasting a full squad, Nagelsmann may be tempted to tinker with his selection in a few positions, but whichever lineup he selects should be strong enough to come out on top against a Greece side who have both lost and not scored in three of their last four away games.

The Copa America is just around the corner, and in preparation for that competition, Peru and Paraguay will play a friendly match at Estadio Monumental “U” in Lima on Friday.

The Peruvians are currently on a three-match unbeaten run in all competitions, defeating the Dominican Republic 4-1 in March, while La Albirroja lost their previous encounter, 1-0 versus Colombia and are winless in consecutive fixtures.

We say: Peru 1-0 Paraguay

Peru look like a different side since the coaching change, and although we believe Paraguay will present a much stiffer challenge for them, La Albirroja have not been quite as convincing in the attacking third as La Bicolor.
