From construction to… Coffee! New family-run shop announces opening date

Must read

The venture is the brainchild of Martin Owen, who has spent the last 25 years working in construction as a crane supervisor, along with the help of his wife Jenna who runs Ambition PR.

After Jenna’s agency moved from its unit in Three Mile Lane, the couple discussed opening a coffee shop there.

And it won’t be long until the Costessey community get a chance to grab a cup of joe as Wolfy’s announced it will be opening on October 7.

Martin said: “I stayed away from home and didn’t see the kids a lot in the construction game.

“I know this is a huge career change but I wanted to give it a shot and offer the community something that’s not here at the moment.”

Jenna added: “We wanted something that’s useful for everybody and will be welcoming to people in the area.”

As well as a range of teas and coffees the shop will also sell a variety of sandwiches, toasties and jacket potatoes.

Martin added: “We want to get the staples down and then we might try a few other things down the line depending on the feedback we get.”

With roughly £25,000 invested in renovating the site the couple are excited to open in a few weeks.

Martin added: “I’m excited and looking forward to see what customers think.

“I wanted to open a couple of weeks earlier but I wasn’t going to cut any corners – everything has to be done properly and as it needs to be.”
