For those looking to spruce up their homes this festive season without stretching the purse strings, your local Home Bargains might just have the perfect find that resembles a far pricier high-end piece.

As a haven for thrifty shoppers, the discount store is no stranger to stocking its shelves with budget-friendly home decor, garden staples, delicious treats, and even beauty essentials.

For the fashion-savvy homemakers who yearn for designer chic without the hefty expense, theres a new arrival in the aisles of Home Bargains that could tick all the boxes.

TikTok user @tabbybellx ‘couldn’t believe it’ when she discovered the Bordeaux Luxury Scented Candle in her nearby shop.

Encased in an attractive speckled glass jar, this candle boasts a blend of ginger, grapefruit, and rose fragrances, ideal for creating a cosy winter atmosphere.

She immediately noticed a similarity between it and the upscale Baobab Collection White Pearls Candle, which comes with a staggering £230 price tag, reports the Manchester Evening News.

That said, Home Bargains offers their own sizeable alternative at a much more digestible £14.99. While differing in scent from its luxury counterpart, the look of both candles is very similar – just right for those after the ‘designer’ aesthetic on a budget.

Showing off the candle and joking about its wax content, Tabby said: “The only thing I will say it, why is it only half filled up? But I guess I can’t complain for £14.99.

“They had one with black speckled but I went for the all white just for Christmas time, for winter, it looks so cute.”

Shoppers were quick to express their astonishment in the comments section at finding such a fantastic alternative to the pricier Baobab candles. One shopper said: “As someone who spent £700 on Baobab candles.. I wish i’d of waited just a year longer.”

Another wrote: “Okay I’m running to home bargains tomorow! need the black speckle one immediately.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “They have a matching diffuser too! I grabbed it last weekend.” A fourth w:rote “Love this sooo much.”
