Next’s ribbed bathroom set costs £41 in total, while Home Bargains’ ‘lookalike’ version is under £10
Home Bargains is selling a ribbed bathroom set that shoppers are going wild for. Not only is the price getting plenty of the attention, but people are also comparing the affordable set to a high-street alternative that costs more.
The budget superstore has released a new range of Bath Bubble Resin items, starting from £1.99 – including a tray, tumbler and soap dispenser. There are three colours to choose from in each: mint green, pastel pink and white.
The bathroom tumbler is £1.99 and is ideal for storing toothbrushes, moisturisers and room sprays. The soap dispenser is £2.99 and the tray costs £2.99 and can be used for hand soaps or to be placed underneath the tumbler and soap dispenser.

Together, all three items come to a total of just under £8. Home Bargains says the set can ‘elevate’ you bathroom. The store adds: “Available in three chic colours, its stylish design and playful bubble texture bring a splash of elegance and fun to your space.”

On Instagram, Home Bargains shared a video of the set, which was originally posted by TikToker Monochromeliving. In it, she shows the set in her bathroom, writing: “Run!! This Next [alternative] from Home Bargains is only £8.”
The video was an instant hit with Home Bargains’ 1.1million followers. In the comment section, Lau asked: “Do they have a matching bin??” A fellow fan claimed: “No bin but they have the matching toilet brush”, which is available in stores only.
Nikki put: “Oh my I love the pink and green.” Suzi said: “Ave got this it’s very well made.” Lou admitted: “I just walked out WITHOUT this… now I’m gutted.”
Zaheera declared: “I know what I’m doing this weekend!” Emma tagged a friend, telling them: “These would be nice in your bathroom.” Others described the set as “cute” and “gorgeous”.
Compared to Next, Home Bargains shoppers would be saving themselves money by opting for the ‘lookalike’ budget set. Next is selling a similar-looking Scandi-design collection that is also ribbed and includes a tray, soap dispenser and toothbrush holder.
The toothbrush holder is much bigger than Home Bargains’ £1.99 tumbler, but costs £14 alone. It is also available in several colours – including natural, black, cobalt blue, sage green, slate blue and taupe.
The soap dispenser is £12 on its own and the tray costs £15. Altogether, Next’s ribbed bathroom set, which features a textured finish, equates to £41. However, the main differences between the two stores is the fact that Next’s soap dispenser is the same colour all-over, the tray is more circular, and the toothbrush holder is more spacious.
