Hurr teams up with Deliveroo to introduce unprecedented same-day fashion rental delivery.
- Starting in central London, fashion rentals can be delivered in 20 minutes through bike couriers.
- The collaboration focuses on premium brands, making high-end dresses more accessible.
- Customers receive dresses with a pre-paid returns label, though Deliveroo doesn’t handle returns.
- The venture aims to enhance convenience and redefine customer service in the rental industry.
Hurr, known for its innovative approach to fashion rental, has joined forces with Deliveroo to significantly enhance delivery times for their customers. This partnership initially focuses on central London, where rentals can now be brought to one’s door in merely 20 minutes, marking a notable shift in the fashion rental landscape.
Previously, Hurr customers could anticipate receiving their fashion rentals the next day. However, with Deliveroo’s involvement, the delivery window has been drastically reduced. This service is currently available for over 50 dresses from luxury brands such as 16 Arlington, Santa Brands, Self-Portrait, Nadine Merabi, and Rixo.
Each fashion rental comes with a returns label so that customers can easily post back their rentals at the end of their usage period, which can range from four to 30 days. Although Deliveroo facilitates the delivery, it does not extend to managing returns, prompting users to rely on postal services for item returns.
Victoria Prew, the founder of Hurr, emphasized the customer-centric nature of this partnership, expressing her thrill at launching such a convenient service. She stated that this collaboration retains customer experience at its core, enabling last-minute or planned fashion rentals to be delivered more swiftly than ever before.
According to Eric French, COO of Deliveroo, this endeavour represents a groundbreaking move for the rental fashion market. It not only makes high-end fashion more accessible but also brings a new level of luxury and convenience to the clientele. This marks Deliveroo’s initial foray into the fashion sector, a venture they are keen to expand by partnering with more brands in the future.
Moreover, Deliveroo has been diversifying its services since February, now also offering on-demand delivery for select lingerie and sexual wellness products from Ann Summers. This diversification strategy aligns with Deliveroo’s attempt to broaden its service offerings beyond traditional food delivery.
The collaboration between Hurr and Deliveroo signifies a transformative approach to fashion rental, enhancing both delivery speed and customer convenience.
