A quintessentially British fashion and homeware brand is set to make its grand return to the high street – just a year after stores vanished.

Cath Kidston, with its trademark vintage aesthetic, will open its first new store next month despite having crashed into administration last year.

The iconic store brand was acquired by retailer Next in March 2023 meaning people could continue to shop Cath Kidston online and at Next stores.

Now the brand is due to open its new store on 18th October at Westfield White City in London.

A post shared to the brand Instagram account said: ‘Why yes. Yes, you guessed right. We do indeed have a new home opening soon. Can anyone tell where in London we’ll be opening our doors?’

Cath Kidston collapsed in 2020, filing for bankruptcy the same year as Laura Ashley.

This came as shoppers were increasingly turning to cheaper brands such as Temu, Home Sense and ASDA to buy homeware and clothing.
