As professional cricketers, they’ll be very well-versed in rain delays and how you cope with them. But it does have an impact, it can disrupt your rhythm either with bat or ball.
But it’s all about staying calm and staying in the moment. You don’t want to waste too much energy in worrying about what could happen, what the weather’s doing, what the permutations might be.
You want to keep your mind as calm as possible because these are huge games, it’s a World Cup semi-final. So even when you’re sat down not doing anything, your heart is always pumping and your mind is racing.
If it were me, I’d find a nice quiet corner for a snooze.
