Jennifer Lawrence’s autumn press run is the gift that keeps on giving. The actor — who is pregnant with her second child with husband Cooke Maroney — has been hitting starry Hollywood events more than ever, and her wardrobe is redefining maternity style for the red carpet.
Today, the actress made an appearance at the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women In Entertainment Gala hosted at The Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
Lawrence looked like the epitome of elegance in a black silk jersey column dress courtesy of Dior by Maria Grazia Chiuri. It featured a wrap V neckline and short sleeves. The body-hugging piece was cinched just below the bust with a thin black leather belt with a black buckle, also from the French fashion house — an accessory that accentuated Lawrence’s growing baby bump.
Lawrence, a Dior ambassador, wore the little black dress with pointed black pumps and large bulbous black earrings the shape of oversize droplets. She wore a chic black liner and a glossy pink lip. Her blonde hair was styled in a wispy half-up, half-down ’do with curled-in bangs — an ethereal glam look if we’ve ever seen one.
A longtime advocate for women’s rights, Lawrence is currently promoting her Apple documentary Bread & Roses, which highlights the impact that the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan has had on women and follows as three women fight for their freedoms. Lawrence and female-education and women’s-rights advocate Malala Yousafzai helped produce the film, which premiered on 22 November.
