Man caught with drugs in Marlands Shopping Centre and drink drivers in court

GEORGE WACHAI, 26, of Salcombe Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving on Howard Road, Southampton. He was caught with 128 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Wachai received a one-year community order with 150 hours of unpaid work and a 29-month driving ban. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

KEVIN PLATA FANA, 27, of Queens Terrace, Southampton admitted drink driving a Vauxhall Astra on Coxford Road, Southampton. He was caught with 87 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop when instructed and driving without insurance. Fana received a one-year community order with 20 rehabilitation days and a 21-month driving ban. He must pay a £500 fine, £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

JUSTINE ROONEY, 36, of Croydon Close, Lordshill pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods, namely a Ford Transit van in Southampton. She must pay a £70 fine and £85 court costs.

BOGDAN IANOS, 35, of Harcourt Road, Southampton admitted drink driving on Thomas Lewis Way, Southampton. He was caught with 92 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Ianos received a one-year community order with 20 rehabilitation days and 150 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 24 months and must pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge. 

JAMIE STAMP, 31, of Taranto Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis in Marlands Shopping Centre, Southampton. He also admitted assault by beating and two public order offences. Stamp was given an 18-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days and 120 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £100 compensation as well as £40 court costs. The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
