An assistant manager at a Downham travel agent is set to push herself out of her comfort zone by taking part in a skydive later this year.
Hays Travel’s Millie Allen, 22, will be taking to the skies at Beccles Airfield this October to raise awareness and funds for mental health charity MIND.
Millie said: “I decided to do a skydive to raise money for MIND as they are a great charity who make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
“Taking part in a skydive is far out of my comfort zone, however, knowing I can make a difference to at least one life is worth it.
“I want to push myself to do something amazing while supporting a charity. I’m extremely nervous but looking forward to conquering my fear.”
The travel agents also had a stall at the town’s Carnival Fun Day in May where they raised money for the skydive while hosting a ‘hook a duck’ game. The team has various other events planned between now and October, including an in-store raffle.
