New research from CareCo reveals the UK’s most accessible cities

Leading mobility retailer CareCo has researched across the UK, looking at each City to find out where the UKs most accessible Cities are. With 41% of working age adults in the UK with a disability, mobility is the most common.

As a result, CareCo wanted to find out where the most accessible cities in the UK are.

Using methodology in which we used a crowd sourced map from toilet map with a radar key filter, wheelchair accessible attractions filter on visit revisit, blue badge parking spots from blue badge parking, and the wheelchair accessible filter on trip advisor. We a proportionate data equation based on population in each area to weight each city fairly.

The research found that the top 20 most accessible cities in the UK are:

  2. St Asaph – Wales
  3. Inverness – Scotland
  4. Chichester – England
  5. Bangor – Wales
  6. Wells – England
  7. Ripon – England
  8. Durham – England
  9. Stirling – Stirling
  10. Ely – England
  11. York – England
  12. St Albans – England
  13. Lichfield – England
  14. Truro – England
  15. Canterbury – England
  16. Bath – England
  17. Salisbury – England
  18. Wrexham – Wales
  19. Winchester – England
  20. Perth – Scotland
