New shoe shop in town creates 11 jobs after £600,000 makeover

The opening of a new shoe shop in Bury St Edmunds has created 11 jobs following a £600,000 makeover.

Deichmann will welcome customers at the former Peacocks in the arc Shopping Centre on Tuesday.

It will celebrate the opening of the 626m2 store, in Gosnold Street, with 50 per cent off selected lines.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, July 6, there will be free shoes for the store’s first 25 customers (up to £25), opening offers on a select range of shoes and a spin the wheel game with exclusive discounts and giveaways.

Peacocks closed in January.

There is also a Deichmann store in Ipswich.
