The Works has relocated from the Compton Place Shopping Centre, which is set to undergo demolition as part of the masterplan to regenerate the town.
It has moved into the unit once occupied by the Flannels store.
The fashion retailer closed towards the end of January with the space having been empty since then.
The shop sells books, toys, games such as jigsaws, gifts, art and stationary.

A spokesperson for The Works expressed their delight at being in the town.
They said: “We love being a part of the Bolton community and are excited to have moved to a larger store at the Market Place Shopping Centre.
“This is a fantastic location for The Works in the heart of Bolton and provides our customers with easy access facilities such as onsite parking.
“From our new store we are continuing to provide customers with the same excellent value, as well as a much bigger range of products for reading, learning, creating and playing.
“We’re delighted to welcome both new and existing customers from Bolton and the surrounding areas through the doors of our newest store.”
Crompton Place Shopping Centre is set to be demolished, subject to planning permission, as part of the regeneration plans for Bolton town centre.
