Olympic Games 2024: Every medal won by Scots – and the ones maybe still to come

Must read

Laura Muir won silver in Tokyo in the women’s 1500m and will have a medal in her sights again in Saturday’s final (19:25).

Becoming the first Scot to win track gold since Allan Wells 44 years ago might be beyond her in a stacked field, but the 31-year-old is a serial medalist.

Just after that on the track, Yeargin has a chance of adding to her collection in the women’s 4x400m (20:22).

At the velodrome, Carlin and Neah Evans could both add to their Olympic haul.

Carlin has a right good chance in both the individual sprint on Friday and in Sunday’s keirin. And Evans also has good prospects on the same days in the Madison and omnium respectively.

And, in the taekwondo on Saturday, Rebecca McGowan will compete in the +67kg division with a real chance of adding a first-ever Scottish medal in the sport.
