It’s been a long old wait, but Emily in Paris season four is finally mere weeks away. The next chapter of the popular Netflix drama, starring Lily Collins as the bubbly marketing executive who moves from Chicago to Paris, is landing on the platform on 15 August, and we’re very ready for one of our favourite light-relief binges to fill our evenings again.
Of course, we can’t wait to see what happens after that dramatic season three finale, but in our opinion, the fashion is the real star of the show. Whether you hate to love or love to hate Emily’s looks, there’s no denying that some of her outfit and accessories, from her infamous red beret to her bright pink coat, have become iconic since she first graced our screens back in 2020.
Plus, here at Red, we particularly love the style of Emily’s super-chic boss, Sylvie Gateau, played by French actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. If you’ve always wanted to dress like a French woman, she’s the epitome of Parisian elegance, as well as our ultimate inspiration for office dressing.
Patricia Field, known for dressing Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and The City, was responsible for the fashion vision of the show in seasons one and two. She has since been succeeded by Marylin Fitoussi, who earned her first Emmy nomination for her work on season three, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us this time.
So if, like us, you’re a certified Emily in Paris addict, here are some of our favourite outfits from season four so far (based on the handful of pictures Netflix has been teasing us with), as well as a few highlights from season three.
The best Emily in Paris outfits from season four
Emily’s blue suit
Emily is seen embracing the trouser suit trend in the new season. While we usually favour pastel and earthy tones for their versatility, Emily’s bold cobalt blue suit fits her lively personality and would be a great choice for a special occasion.
Looking to imitate her style? We found similar choices at Hush and Karen Millen, or you can also look through our round up of the best suits to take you from desk to dinner.
Emily’s embellished knit
We all need a reliable knit to take us through the winter. The one Emily is wearing here (oh and welcome back, Gabriel, we’ve missed you) is fitted and embellished, meaning it’s perfect for layering but can also be worn on its own.
Sylvie’s faux fur coat
Emily’s striped shirt
It’s no secret how much we love a good striped shirt, so naturally Emily’s bold blue and white style caught our eye, complete with matching tie and layered knitted vest.
Here are a couple of our favourites if it’s made you want to add one to your basket too:
Emily’s shearling coat
There’s nothing quite as chic and cosy as an oversized shearling fur coat to wear during the colder months of the year. We’ve spotted Emily wearing a hooded style from French label Isabel Marant Etoile; it’s sold out almost everywhere online, but we found a similar design from The White Company made from pure Merino sheepskin.
Of course, if you’re looking for the shearling coat that will last you a lifetime, this fashion-editor-favourite from Toteme is well worth the investment.
Emily’s Hepburn-inspired ski look
It looks like Emily has taken inspiration from Audrey Hepburn’s iconic look in 1963 movie Charade for this one.
While it’s admittedly hard to find similar pieces on the high street in the middle of summer, this faux-fur hat from Stories is guaranteed to bring you compliments once the temperature drops.

Sylvie’s statement white blouse
Never underestimate the power of a good blouse, and if you love Sylvie’s style, this relaxed-fit linen shirt from The White Company is perfect for pairing with a white maxi skirt to lean into SS24’s boho aesthetic.

Sylvie’s striped blazer
Once reserved for formal occasions, the blazer has become a wardrobe staple in its own right in recent years, as seen on Sylvie above.
One of our favourite pieces at the moment is the boxy number below from Albaray’s summer drop. We recommend wearing it with a white tank and red lip to add a feminine edge.

Emily’s embroidered floral blouse
We love a beautiful blouse for elevating a casual day-time look, as demonstrated by Emily above. We love the romantic ruffle details on the sleeves, and the high collar, which gives it a smart feel.
To imitate her style we picked a piece from French cool-girl label Sezane, which also ticks all those boxes.
Sylvie’s velvet blazer
We’re used to seeing Sylvie in neutral colours, but she seems to have taken inspiration from Emily for this outfit, opting for a statement velvet blazer in a regal purple colour from designer Elie Saab.
Sadly her original blazer is no longer available to buy, but we’ve hunted down two similar styles to help you recreate her look.
