Paddy Pimblett Praises Jake Paul for Fighting Mike Perry

Must read

UFC Lightweight star Paddy Pimblett weighs in on “The Problem Child” Jake Paul versus “Platinum” Mike Perry

Scouse star Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett has shown Jake Paul “a little bit of respect” for facing Mike Perry. Despite the two having their fair share of insults for each other in the past Paul seems to have gained Pimbletts respect.

This weekend July 20th Jake Paul is set to face off against Mike Perry. Perry has made quite the name for himself since parting ways with the UFC 3 years ago.

Mike Perry debuted for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 2 years ago and has since become “the face” of the company. Beating the likes of: Michael “Venom” Page, Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez, Perry has found his form away from the octagon.

Originally booked to fight Mike Tyson, Jake Paul had to seek new opposition when Tyson was medically advised to withdraw. Mike Perry put his hand up and his wishes were granted by “The Problem Child”.

Given Tyson’s age and legacy fans were not thrilled to see him booked against the much younger Paul. With the stardom garnered through his brutal BKFC brawls Paul versus Perry seems a more favourable fight to fans.

The fight has caught the attention of fans and fighters around the world with many backing Perry to beat the controversial Jake Paul.

Paddy Pimblett Praises Jake Paul for Fighting Mike Perry

Paddy Pimblett is set to fight King Green (formerly Bobby Green) at UFC 304 in Manchester. Regardless of his upcoming fight next week, Paddy did not overlook a future fight with Paul.

Alluding to the more generous paydays of the MMA-boxing crossovers as a proponent in his decision. He told  online-slots-real-money.com:

“If Jake Paul sends a contract over for a couple of million dollars to fight me, let’s do it. I think that’s what half ruined Conor’s career, the fact that he went and boxed Floyd Mayweather and took so long out of MMA… hindered his career.

Conor could be on that Mount Rushmore, he really could, if he had stayed fighting in the UFC. It’s one of them though, if Mayweather comes in and says he’ll box you and you could get f**king a hundred million or something, who’s gonna say no? We’re prize fighters, at the end of the day.”

Although unimpressed by Jake Paul’s boxing career, it seems Paul has won the respect of “The Baddy”.

“You know what? Give Jake Paul his dues for that one. I didn’t think he’d fight someone like Mike Perry… He’s fought a load of f**king crabs.

He’s fought a load of clowns. He fought Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley when they were both over 40. Anderson’s a Thai boxer and Woodley’s a wrestler.

Mike Perry is a boxer, he’s a striker, he’s got hands… so Jake Paul has gained a little bit of respect from me for that because I didn’t think he’d fight someone as good as Mike Perry.”

Jake Paul has taken a step up in competition compared to his former foes. Fighting someone as dangerous as Perry has to be respected.

Saturday night we will find out how Jake Paul fares against the formidable Mike Perry.
