Pete Wicks ‘collapses’ and rushed to medics after gruelling training scenes

Ahead of making his Strictly Come Dancing debut on Saturday, reality star Pete Wicks has also taken part in TV’s grittiest show.

The former Towie star was among six contestants to take part in Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

However, the 36-year-old was forced to quit the notoriously difficult show after he was rushed to medics during filming.

After jumping out of a helicopter during his appearance in 2022, Pete fell unconscious and once again, the star suffered another emergency.

The TV star recorded his latest series of the show months before his current Strictly stint was the subject of huge sympathy from his SAS co-stars for the painful mishap.

Rachel Johnson, who is part of the new Celeb SAS cast lineup, told Metro: “Pete Wicks was medevacked off the mountain. He collapsed.”

Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson, who is also taking part in the show, added: “I felt bad for Pete because coming back the second time, there was so much pressure on him to do even better than the first time, so he pushed himself way too far.”

Unfortunately for the Strictly hopeful, this wasn’t the only harm he recently encountered after revealing a recent injury.

It came as he prepared to train with professional partner Jowita Przystal.

Pete seemed to be struggling to get to grips with the training after some dance steps landed him in pain.

In a video, shared on social media, the dancer was with his rarely-seen-without friend Sam Thompson, who was singing Strictly’s infamous theme song.

Pete showed off a few steps, before appearing to hurt his groin as he exclaimed: “I’ve done me groin.”

Bouncing back from his temporary injury, the pals then continued with their typical jokes and teasing.
