The consultation was launched earlier this week revealing Costco’s plans to open a new site in Broadland Business Park.

A spokesman for Costco Wholesale said: “Before applying to Broadland District Council for planning permission, we’d like to present our proposal to the local community and provide an opportunity for locals and businesses to provide feedback.

“We’ve written directly to neighbours of our proposed site, but people across the city are welcome to visit our consultation website.”

The company currently has 29 sites across the country and the Norwich site would be the first in the East of England.

Costco Wholesale is a membership warehouse club open to businesses and certain individuals who fall within specified work or professional groups.

The warehouses supply a wide range of food and non-food goods aimed to serve the needs of small to medium business owners and members in Norwich would also benefit from a tyre centre and petrol filling station.

People are asked to leave their comments on the proposals to help shape the final development of the scheme before the planning application is submitted to Broadland District Council who will then carry out their own consultation.

An online exhibition of the consultation will be open until 5pm on September 27 at www.costco-consults.co.uk.
