Pre-loved and sustainable fashion showroom opens in Bowdon

Must read

A new showroom dedicated to pre-loved and sustainable fashion has opened in Bowdon.

Luxe Cheshire was founded by Rebeka Peacock four years ago after lockdown prompted a career change.

She opened her first premises in Rostherne but has now moved to a new showroom at Denzell House, a Grade II-listed building set in 11 acres of parkland in Bowdon.

The showroom will be open for personal shopping, and selling, by appointment only throughout the week.

Rebeka said: “As with so many stories from lockdown, I began Luxe Cheshire from home, using my bedroom as the perfect back drop to shoot the products and a very well insulated garage to store them in, doing everything online and virtually. That was in April, and I set myself the target for autumn to build up the business and move to my first premises.

“My vision for Luxe Cheshire was always to offer a private and personal service to the buying and selling of pre-loved fashion.

“I’d seen some companies doing something similar in London, but there was nothing in the Northwest, which seemed like an amazing opportunity. And certainly, none offering such a personal approach.

“So, six months later I moved into my first premises in Rostherne, which included an amazing showroom space, so that I could add private appointments to my online offering. Since then, we have seen the overall pre-loved market boom, so I am pleased to say that we have been growing quickly too, building up a substantial client database and an excellent reputation. So much so, that I was looking for larger premises.”

Rebeka said she knew instantly she had found the right premises at Denzell House.

She added: “As soon as I stepped through the doors at Denzell House, I knew it was the perfect place for the next chapter of Luxe Cheshire; the palatial room and high-painted ceilings, never mind stunning views, all combine to offer a stunning and unique environment for us to welcome our clients and customers.

“My vision was to create a showroom offering private appointments, in luxury, comfort, and most importantly without any pressure, just a lovely experience from start to finish.”

Luxe Cheshire says its team provides “friendly expertise and advice on the purchasing and selling of pre-loved fashion items, in a relaxed, no pressure atmosphere and looks forward to welcoming you soon”.

A launch party for the new location took place last Friday with food from Unagi, Prosecco from Think Wine and goodie bags including treats from Bank MediSpa Hale, Icy Bear Dental, Studio 34 Pilates In Alderley Edge and Current Body in Wilmslow.
