Princess Kate has always had a penchant for sports, mostly evident in her university days at St. Andrews.
Kate excelled in hockey for the University of St. Andrews team during her student days and previously played field hockey from 1986 to 1995.
These days, Kate still enjoys a good workout with cycling, sailing, and yoga being her go-to activities.
But the future Queen has an unknown detail regarding her fitness regime which Mike Tindall recently revealed.
Alongside cardio and weight training, the mum-of-three is also a big lover of another grueling sport.
Kate is a big lover of running, according to Mike Tindall in a new interview with The Telegraph.
Getting an inside look at the Royal Family’s workouts and love of sports, he said: “They’re just a family who love sport. Catherine loves her running.”
Journalist Bryony Gordon, who had previously met Kate, told Runner’s World: “I can’t remember exactly what happened, but I was like, ‘Are you going to run the marathon?’ And she was like, ‘Oh I can’t because security is a bit difficult.’
“But I was like, ‘Sure, yeah, yeah, good excuse! If I can do it, anyone can.'”
The former rugby union player, Tindall also said in the interview: “George loves his football. I’ve played numerous times in the garden with him.
“He’s passionate about Aston Villa, too. Wherever he is, he’ll sit down and watch that game.”
George’s love for Aston Villa is undoubtedly influenced by his father, Prince William.
The Prince of Wales has been spotted on several occasions cheering in the stands in a number of Aston Villa games.
Kate has also been pictured supporting from the crowds at various sporting events.
She recently attended the Wimbledon tennis final where she was given a standing ovation at Centre Court.
Her love for tennis was further cemented when she was assigned the role of patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in 2016.
