Ryanair has issued a travel warning today as severe weather conditions are expected to cause potential disruptions across its flights.
The airline’s statement follows the Met Office issuing three yellow wind warnings for this weekend, with gusts of up to 80mph expected.
The airline is urging passengers to check their flight status ahead of time as Storm Eowyn could affect flight schedules, particularly those flying through or from affected regions.
A statement from Ryanair on their website said: “Affected passengers will be notified.
“Any passengers travelling to or from the UK on Saturday 21 December should check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight.
“We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by Storm Eowyn, which is outside of Ryanair’s control and affects all airlines operating to and from the UK on Saturday 21 December.”
Ryanair has advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure and be at the boarding gate 30 minutes before the flight.
The Met Office alerts, in effect from Saturday to Sunday, cover Scotland, Northern Ireland, northwest England (including Manchester and Liverpool), and parts of Wales.
The first two warnings are valid from 7am to midnight on Saturday, while the third runs from midnight to 9pm on Sunday.
The Met Office has warned of potential travel delays, power outages, and dangerous conditions, particularly for those near coastal regions.
