Saoirse Ronan Might’ve Just Broken British Vogue’s Lackluster Cover Streak…

Must read

To say Chioma Nnadi has gotten off to a rocky start at British Vogue as Head of Editorial Content would be an understatement. An understatement of epic proportions. After all, not even covers with FKA Twigs, Zendaya, Sophie Turner, Mona Tougaard (with Central Cee), Suki Waterhouse, and Florence Pugh have massively failed to impress. Up next on the magazine’s front cover is Saoirse Ronan, who makes an appearance on the November 2024 cover of British Vogue. The American-born Irish actress poses before the lens of photographer Jack Davison, complete with styling from Nell Kalonji. The team pays homage to Lee Miller, with Ronan striking a pose in a look from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Oh, could it be? A sightly cover from Chioma’s Vogue at last… I like it, in the same vein as the more artsy editions of Vogue. It seems to work despite such harsh lighting,” confessed aracic.

“That’s an unexpectedly good shot,” thiago chimed in.

Sharing the same enthusiasm was jeje10. “After so much crap from Chioma, something good has finally come from her,” they voiced.

“Love everything about this cover!” enthused forum member MModa.

“Vintage inspiration done right. It looks absolutely stunning!” praised WAVES.

Yet not everyone was entirely convinced. “The coloring and dramatic lighting I like, and that’s it. The competition, the cropping, the fact Saoirse Ronan isn’t looking out towards us – I severely dislike,” commented vogue28.

“The lightning is great, but I’m having zero engagement with the image. Weird pose and lack of eye contact… I’m not sure about it,” shared Srdjan.
