Birmingham City have made their 15th summer signing by bringing in Rangers winger Scott Wright on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
But the club have also allowed one of last season’s most creative influences Koji Miyoshi go.
The 27-year-old Japanese winger, who scored seven times and had six assists after being signed by then boss John Eustace on a two-year deal from Royal Antwerp in June 2023, has joined German side VfL Bochum for an undisclosed fee.
Wright, also 27, won the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and League Cup during his three years at Ibrox and started in the Europa League final defeat by Eintracht Frankfurt two years ago.
He is the second player Blues have signed from Rangers this week following the arrival of former Preston and Liverpool centre-half Ben Davies.
Blues have also been linked with a late move to re-sign last season’s top scorer Jay Stansfield from Fulham.
The American-owned club reportedly made a £10m bid to bring 21-year-old Stansfield on a more permanent basis – but it was rejected by the Cottagers.
Stansfield, who spent last season on loan at St Andrew’s, netted on his return to the club on Tuesday, scoring Fulham’s second goal in their 2-0 League Cup win over Blues.
