1. Homes are continuing to sell more quickly in Scotland than anywhere else in the UK, according to industry data.
Rightmove’s monthly house price index for August said that it took an average of 33 days for a Scottish home to be taken off the market. That was much faster than any of the other UK regions with the northeast of England in second place at 52 days.
Scottish prices were up by 0.9 per cent year-on-year but had fallen by 1.7 per cent when compared with the previous month.
The index showed Scotland also had the cheapest average property price, at £192,908, of the areas monitored.
Rightmove
