A Livingston-based museum showcase manufacturer is set to bring all of its manufacturing in house, cutting both costs and material waste, thanks to over half a million in funding from HSBC UK Equipment Finance.
Click Netherfield, which produces and installs exhibition display cases, will use the funding to purchase new equipment for its glass production line. This includes precise glass-cutting technology, which will reduce manufacturing time, external costs and material waste.
The new glass production line includes automated glass storage racking, overhead cranes with glass vacuum lifters, a waterjet cutting machine, a variable mitre in-line polishing machine, and a quality inspection station.
The company exports over fifty percent of its products to museums and exhibitions worldwide. Previous clients include the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum, the Imperial War Museum, and the Oman National Museum.
