The performing arts offer benefits that reach far beyond the stage. Influencing academic performance, social skills, and overall well-being, Montage Theatre Arts (MTA) is a Lewisham based charity that helps over 1,200 young people (aged 3 – 19) access performing arts opportunities to experience these benefits since 1998. Championing the transformative power of the performing arts while removing barriers to participation, 32% of our students attend with financial assistance, either receiving a free place or a subsidised reduced rate.
We are seeking a talented Marketing and Communications Executive to play a crucial role in supporting and promoting MTA’s brand. You will be responsible for our marketing and communications strategy, managing key channels including our website, newsletters, and social media. You will help engage our community, increase attendance at MTA activities and improve our charitable outreach.

This exciting role would suit someone looking to move from a corporate communications and marketing role into the charity sector or someone already working in the performing arts or wider charitable seeking a new challenge, helping to drive and shape the future of MTA.
KEY INFORMATION:
Hours: 25 Hours per week – 3.5 days (Part-Time, PAYE)
Flexible working available, including some allowance outside core hours. Evenings and weekends will occasionally form part of this role’s working hours.
Salary: £33,000 FTE (£24,286 actual)
Holiday Entitlement: 24 days (including 8 statutory days)
Pension: 3% Employer contribution
Other Benefits: Access to our courses for free and/or heavily discounted rates
Location: Hybrid – working hours split between Lewisham office, activity locations (for content creation) and home.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy: Work with MTA’s CEO and board to design, deliver and drive marketing campaign strategies
Channel Management: Manage social media channels and optimise website content.
Content Creation: Create engaging marketing content including; newsletters, blog posts, print media, and photo/video based social media posts
Campaign Management: Deliver marketing campaigns to a variety of stakeholders and manage MTA’s Google AdWords campaigns (with, or without, the help of MTA’s AdWords agency)
Outreach: Enhance and improve MTA’s charitable outreach efforts through marketing support, collect feedback from stakeholders and monitor online reviews
