The Princess of Wales is set to grace the world’s stage more than ever during 2025. Following her recent health battle, the Princess is making a gradual return to events that represent the Royal Family.
Princess Kate, 42, is a fashion icon and will no doubt jump on the biggest trends. Much like how she did last year – from adding bows to her ensembles to wearing the colour of the season.
Express.co.uk sat down with fashion expert Ciara Russell. She shared some of her biggest predictions that are set to hit the runway this year.
Ciara has worked with some of the UK’s leading brands and celebrities. At the top of her list of trends were stripes which have not made a comeback since the 2000s. So if you have not thrown some of your old staples out, you may want to dig deep in your closet.
The image consultant said: “Stripes, hot pants, elevated sportswear and feminine polo shirts” will be making their way back into our wardrobes”, with her even mentioning tones of yellow. After scouring the sales, have put together a go-to guide to get your 2025 prepared for a big season in fashion ahead.
First up is a stunning dress from Reiss. The Cat Midi dress by Reiss is made from a super soft and light jersey fabric. This could not only skim your body but also perfectly sculpt it.
Meanwhile, the diagonal panels create a stripe tactfully drape the chest area and hem. If you buy it now you will save a whopping ÂŁ50.
It is currently priced at £108 after being reduced from £158 – you can buy it here now if you click here.
Ciara also shared that if Kate was to wear a similar design to this then it would highlight “her preference for classic and sophisticated attire.”
Adding: “She’ll get on board with the stripes trend since we’ve seen her wear stripes before, and they really suit her. I’m pretty sure she’ll be all over this one.
Meanwhile, she also suggested that she could definitely see Kate “wearing yellow in 2025, as it’s a predicted colour for the year, and we’ve seen her wear it before.”
Princess Kate is a huge fan of the outdoors so she may trade in her beloved Barbour jacket for a bright and vibrant brand new raincoat.
The Eva Long Coat by Lighthouse Clothing is now £63.99 at Debenhams after being reduced from £79.999 – and you can buy it here now.
The Princess of Wales could also “go for the feminine polo shirt trend” in 2025 which Ciara described as “such a classic and classy look, which is very her.”
In the past, it was a trend to don designs from luxury labels or well-known brands. The Nobody’s Child Cream Ribbed Polo Top is now ÂŁ20 in the sale.
