Shrimpers stars Adam Crowther, George Moncur, Gus Scott-Morriss, Harry Taylor, Jack Bridge, Joe Gubbins, Nathan Ralph and Oli Coker will all compete in a night of darts at the Chalkwell Park Rooms on Tuesday October 8.
And skipper Ralph is looking forward to the challenge.
“We play at the training ground and there’s three darts boards up now,” said Ralph.
“Sometimes they’re all going on at the same time so it can be carnage up there but it’s good.
“It’s for a good cause and a few of the boys really like their darts so it makes sense.
“It’s going to be fun and we’re really looking forward to it.”
The night of ‘National League darts’ will see the players battling it out in a singles knock-out format starting from the quarter-final stage.
Matches will be played as a best of three 301 legs before the final which will be best of five.
And Ralph admits it could be tough to predict a winner.
“Bridgey is probably the best but Gussy has been very good recently as well,” said Ralph.
“George Moncur is good too.
“He’s come in and has obviously been playing before so there are a few who are good.”
Sponsored by JSL Window Cleaning Services and Darts Corner, the event will start at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced at just £15 with season ticket holders able to attend for £10.
One hundred per cent of the profits will be donated straight to South East & Central Essex Mind ahead of World Mental Health Day.
There will be a pay bar facility in operation and there will also be food available for purchase from Chalkwell Room’s kiosks.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased directly from the club’s ticketing site here.
