Signal failures cause severe delays on London Underground lines

Must read

The Monday morning rush hour has started with bad news for commuters as the London Underground has severe delays.

If you’re travelling on the Tube this morning, make your coffee extra strong and prepare for longer journeys than usual after delays on the District and Northern lines.

The Northern line is seeing severe delays between Edgware and Camden Town after a signal system failed. A stretch of the District line has delays between Tower Hill and Upminster eastbound only after a faulty train at Temple.

It comes after Storm Bert left a wave of destruction in its wake, causing severe flooding and landslides in south Wales. The Met Office has warned of further strong winds today which could cause travel issues.
