FT: Salford 6-14 Leigh
Leigh are the first to get through elimination weekend, and are heading toward a milestone semi-final next week.
Three second-half tries from Edwin Ipape, Gareth O’Brien and Josh Charnley – whose night was ended when he suffered a neck injury – has Leigh just 80 minutes away from the Grand Final.
Salford, a side lauded as entertainers throughout the season, have been left stunned as their season ends in front of a packed home crowd.
While that’s all for the Red Devils this season, we have only just got started with the Super League play-offs.
Tomorrow, Warrington Wolves host St Helens in the second eliminator.
It’s a match you can follow right here, and live on BBC Two, iPlayer and various BBC radio stations.
For now, it’s goodnight from us.
