Taylor Swift played her first UK show since the murder of three of her young fans two weeks ago amid reports that she has ‘reached out’ to the families of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar. Swift took to the stage at Wembley earlier this evening, coming out to sing her hit 22, wearing a T-shirt that read: “A lot going on at the moment.”
Swift’s T-shirts often make references that are picked over by fans. The concert follows the pop star being forced to cancel a series of concerts in Vienna and the deaths of the three children at a Taylor Swift-themed event in Southport in June.
During her hit song 22, Taylor Swift gave her black hat away to a young blonde girl wearing a light blue jumper who was singing along to the lyrics. The two embraced for a few seconds before Swift gave her the hat.

The pop star chose not to mention her cancelled shows in Vienna, nor the murder of three children at a Taylor Swift-themed yoga event, during her show at Wembley.

Her shows in Vienna were cancelled amid an alleged terror plot. The BBC reported tonight that Swift has privately reached out to families affected by the Southport stabbings.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where many of the victims of the Southport stabbings were treated, this week announced what they would do with the £350,000 raised for them by Taylor Swift fans around the world. Alder Hey has explained the money will go towards immediate support, Southport as a whole and funeral costs as required. It praised the donations as a ‘beacon of hope’.
