Tell us if you think Putin should surrender as Ukrainian troops invade Russia

Must read

Vladimir Putin has been dealt a humiliating and dangerous blow after thousands of Ukrainian troops managed to infiltrate the Russian territory.

Ukraine launched an extraordinary incursion into the Russian region of Kursk on August 6, marking the first foreign invasion into the country since World War 2.

The attack, involving thousands of troops, has reportedly resulted in the seizing of several Russian settlements and the capture of Moscow’s troops on their own soil.

On August 13, Ukraine‘s top military commander General Oleksandr Syrskyi claimed his forces were controlling 386 square miles of the Kursk region, adding the Ukrainian troops were “fulfilling their tasks”.

He added: “Fighting continues actually along the entire front line. The situation is under our control.”

A week into the incredible incursion, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tykhiy, issued an ultimatum to the Kremlin.

Referring to the unlawful Russian invasion of Ukraine launched in February 2022, he said during a press conference: “It was Russia that brought the war to Ukraine, and it is quite right that now this war is returning to the territory of Russia. “The sooner Russia agrees to the restoration of a just peace, the sooner Ukrainian raids on the territory of Russia will stop. And as long as Putin continues the war, he will receive from Ukraine such answers.”

Express.co.uk is now asking its readers whether they think Putin should surrender as Ukrainian troops continue their advance.
