Ciara told Express.co.uk that “Boho chic” was at the top of her list. The expert shared that it will take centre stage both on the catwalk and high street – and she is definitely right, as Princess Kate ended the year emulating just that.
For the 2024 family Christmas card, Princess Kate wore a Veronica Beard Castella floral dress which oozed sophistication and a boho chic style.
The dress was part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection and it was featured in her video which announced that she was cancer-free and making a gradual return to public engagements. Thanks to Kate wearing the garement, it spiked a huge surge in sales and has since sold-out.
Boho designs often feature specific hues that symbolise a meaning. At the time it was said that Kate wore the light blue shade as it is often associated with optimism, loyalty, and confidence, which could be a nod to her road to recovery.
Ciara also predicted “Stripes, hot pants, elevated sportswear and feminine polo shirts” will be making their way back into our wardrobes.
Although we very much doubt that Princess Kate will be debuting skimpy shorts and will remain with a well-polished image.
The stylist said she believes the princess “looks particularly elegant in preppy coats, tweeds, and simple dresses” and will not go for a complete new overhaul.
Princess Kate is expected to make minor adjustments and jump on the biggest trends in her own unique way, to prevent any fashion faux pas.
Ciara said the Princess of Wales is expected to “go for the feminine polo shirt trend” in 2025 because “it’s such a classic and classy look, which is very her.”
Ciara said: “I also think she’ll get on board with the stripes trend since we’ve seen her wear stripes before, and they really suit her. I’m pretty sure she’ll be all over this one.”
Meanwhile, she also suggested that she could definitely see Kate “wearing yellow in 2025, as it’s a predicted colour for the year, and we’ve seen her wear it before.”
She added: “I can also picture her in violet, a rich, saturated jewel tone that complements her beautifully. Additionally, I think she would look stunning in deep, bold hues like rich ebony and black olive, which align perfectly with her elegant style.”
“Her recent appearance at the Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk exemplifies this style.
“She wore a hunter green Alexander McQueen coat designed by Sarah Burton, paired with black suede boots, a black handbag, a festive green hat with a bow, and a cosy tartan scarf,” added Ciara.
They continued that the “ensemble highlights her preference for classic and sophisticated attire, reinforcing how well she suits preppy coats and tweed fabrics.”
