The new policy comes with strict requriements
CDS Superstores has announced a major change to The Range stores’ entry requirements. Dog owners will no longer need to leave their pets outside or at home as stores across the UK are now completely dog-friendly.
However, the new policy comes with strict requirements. The Range confirmed dogs must be on a lead at all times while inside a store and “well-behaved dogs only.”
Owners are responsible for their dogs’ behaviour and must ensure that they are well-behaved, and do not disturb other customers. If dogs make a mess, their owners must clean it up and be mindful of their surroundings.

Shoppers have taken to social media to discuss the new store policy. Dog lovers are thrilled with the change as it means more time with their furry friends, especially for those with supportive needs. However, not everyone is keen on the idea.

Lorraine Siegertsz said: “Well done. Saves dogs being left in the car.”
Amy Henderson said: “John Lewis has allowed dogs in stores for years. As far as I’m aware, they still just open up and sell things without there being dogs all over the furniture or peeing on the cakes. People are just so dramatic.”
Lee Lonnie said: “Is right, about time more stores need to do this. And for all those who don’t like it tough. The majority of dogs are better behaved than the majority of the kids anyway. As I know mine is.”
To celebrate the news, the stores are running special pet-focused deals, including over 40% off selected food items and discounted treats on toys, essentials and items such as a pet pushchair.

However, Chris Gouldson said: “Is this necessary not everyone is OK with animals some people are afraid and allergic to animals. It’s a shop and I don’t think it’s big enough to accommodate dogs you can just about manoeuvre around the store.”
