‘I wanted to create something unique and joyful, bags that put a smile on your face,’ Hannah Weiland told ELLE UK. A longtime admirer of the ‘level of craftsmanship and attention to detail’ in Strathberry’s designs, the Shrimps founder was ‘very excited’ when the Scottish brand, loved by Meghan Markle, approached her for a collaboration.

‘I really wanted to focus on mini bags and Strathberry’s Mosaic felt like the perfect choice,’ continues Weiland. ‘I was keen to use classic Shrimps design elements, from floral embroidery to crochet and of course our pearls, to adorn Strathberry’s iconic silhouettes and give them a new twist. The collection combines the best of both brands very beautifully – it felt like a great synergy.’

Weiland’s personal favourite from the limited-edition capsule? ‘The Mosaic Nano in Crochet,’ she tells ELLE UK. ‘It features beautiful handcrafted details which really stand out against the rich terracotta colour. I love being able to obviously see the craftsmanship that goes into the make of a piece.’
