Luton have eight points from their first eight games and currently sit 18th in the table. Their two wins so far came in back-to-back victories against Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday last month.
Since then they have lost at Plymouth and seen a potential three points turn into one against the U’s.
“It’s a confidence thing,” the 31-year-old Belgian said. “Obviously, last season was different and we’re now one of the favourites and we have to make results.
“We have to be brave and still do the basics right.
“That fight – it’s what Luton stands for – fight and aggression and playing on the front foot. That’s what we have to keep on doing and I’m sure that will give us results.”
