Trump calls for free IVF as Vance accuses Harris of ‘flip flopping’ during interview

‘I’m not a threat to democracy’: says Trump

Donald Trump has claimed his administration will force insurance companies or the federal government to cover the costs of in vitro fertilization (IVF) for all Americans, despite previously touting his role in the overturning of Roe v Wade.

“We wanna produce babies in this country, right?,” he said during a town hall event beside Democrat-turned-Trump ally Tulsi Gabbard in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Thursday.

Kamala Harris said she offered “too much information” on the phone call from President Joe Biden after he revealed he was abandoning his re-election bid, during her CNN interview on Thursday. Harris sat alongside her running mate Tim Walz at Kim’s Cafe, a local Black-owned restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, to speak with CNN’s Dana Bash for the first interview of their campaign.

In the 27-minute long unscripted interview, she declared that her “values” were unchanged, despite some reversals on key policy positions surrounding immigration and fracking. JD Vance quickly jumped on the comment and accused Harris of “flip-flopping” during her interview in a scathing analysis while speaking to Fox & Friends on Friday.

Separately, Trump will address ultra-conservative parental rights group Moms for Liberty in Washington DC this afternoon.

Trump says Democrats are plagued with ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ in new Harris attack ad

Donald Trump has released a scathing new attack ad against Kamala Harris saying her supporters suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome”.

The video was released on the former president’s Truth Social account on Friday, with the crux of the ad being a campaign-created fake disease that allegedly tells the brain “anyone but Trump”.

Along with a montage of smiley characters, the narrator says: “Are you and your loved ones suffering from illnesses such as TDS, also known as Trump Derangement Syndrome? Do you dismiss or deny the current issues facing our country? Such as historic inflation, illegal immigration, corporate corruption, World War III escalations and the chronic disease epidemic.”

Then, the video directly addresses Harris.

“Are you willing to elect someone who was the least popular vice president in history? And offers no policy or vision for America, simply because your brain keeps telling you, ‘Anyone by Trump,’” the narrator continued.

“If so, you might be suffering from TDS.”

Democrat senator slams Trump for ‘gaslighting’ American women over IVF policy

Senator Elizabeth Warren slammed Donald Trump’s latest statements on abortion care and IVF as “gaslighting,” pointing to an extensive anti-abortion record from Trump and his running mate JD Vance that is now pivoting to “smoke and mirrors.”

“American women are not stupid,” Warren said on a press call for the Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign on Friday.

“Trump thinks women are stupid and we can be gaslighted. He seems to think he can do one thing when he talks to his extremist base and turn around and smile at the overwhelming majority … and lie about it and they’ll believe it,” she added.

On Thursday, Trump said he does not support Florida’s ban on abortion at roughly six weeks and floated a policy proposal that would mandate government support or insurance coverage for IVF treatment.

JD Vance accuses Harris of ‘flip-flopping’ during her CNN interview

JD Vance has accused Kamala Harris of flip-flopping during her CNN interview beside her running mate Tim Walz on Thursday.

The Ohio senator grilled the vice president after she declared that her “values” were unchanged, despite some reversals on key policy positions surrounding immigration and fracking.

Vance went on Fox & Friends on Friday morning to claim Harris was “flip-flopping” in her first unscripted interview since launching her presidential Campaign.

“It’s pretty bizarre right: if you have the same values, why have you changed your mind on literally every topic that you previously held an opinion on?,” Vance said.

“I think it’s important for us not to buy this,” he added.

He continued: “It’s really absurd for Kamala Harris to sit there and say, ‘Well, I don’t actually believe in any of the things that I told you I believed three years ago.’ She has governed as a person who believes those things, and unfortunately, the American people are far off because of it.”

Harris campaign announces 50-stop bus tour on reproductive rights

Kamala Harris’s campaign team has announced that it will be launching a 50-stop bus tour to promote access to reproductive rights.

The “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” tour kicks off from Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, driving through both Democrat and Republican strongholds and battleground states.

Surrogates from Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Minesotta Governor Tim Walz’s wife Gwen, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and Harris’s campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez will be on the tour.

Those on the campaign trial will focus on Harris and her running mate Tim Walz’s ambition to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade, which was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.

“This election is about freedom – and the American people want and deserve the freedom to make their own health care decisions,” Rodriguez said in a statement.

“Our campaign is hitting the road to meet voters in their communities, underscore the stakes of this election for reproductive freedom, and present them with the Harris-Walz ticket’s vision to move our country forward, which stands in stark contrast to Donald Trump’s plans to drag us back.”
