Requiring just one point to ensure a place in the knockout phase of Euro 2024, the Netherlands meet Austria for their final Group D fixture on Tuesday.

The teams convene in Berlin, with the Oranje having four points on the board following their stalemate with France; Ralf Rangnick’s men swept past Poland last time out but must now avoid defeat to have a good chance of reaching the last 16.

We say: Netherlands 1-1 Austria

Austria’s need for victory is greater, so they may need to force the issue with their familiar high-intensity style.

Without a clinical finisher, the Netherlands may not fully capitalise on any gaps at the back, but a draw might well send both teams through to the last 16.

Two-time Euros winners France are set to face already-eliminated Poland at Borussia Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion in each side’s final group stage game at Euro 2024 on Tuesday.

Didier Deschamps’s team are second in Group D behind the Netherlands based on goals scored, but their upcoming Polish opponents have finished last and will no doubt be disappointed to have been the first team eliminated from the competition.

We say: France 3-1 Poland

France’s performances have been below par at Euro 2024 so far, but they do boast a significant quality advantage over opponents Poland.

Additionally, Les Bleus should come into Tuesday’s clash as clear favourites considering the Eagles are likely to be dejected given their elimination from the competition.

Knowing that a point will suffice for Euro 2024 last-16 qualification, England conclude their Group C campaign on Tuesday night, pitting their wits against Slovenia at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.

While Gareth Southgate’s squad have accrued four points from a possible six – albeit while failing to dazzle and delight – their upcoming opponents are still waiting for that elusive maiden success at a Euros finals.

We say: England 1-0 Slovenia

The form book undeniably favours Slovenia over England for Tuesday’s critical clash – words that we did not anticipate muttering before the tournament – and breaking down the Oblak-marshalled defence should prove to be a tall order for Southgate’s exhausted crop.

However, as was the case in South Africa 14 years ago, a solitary strike should be enough to propel the tepid Three Lions into the last 16 as group winners, albeit while inspiring little confidence for the games ahead.

The Allianz Arena in Munich plays host to a critical Euro 2024 Group C encounter on Tuesday evening, as Denmark and Serbia fight for the right to qualify for the last 16.

Kasper Hjulmand’s men currently occupy second place in the section on account of drawing both of their opening matches, while Dragan Stojkovic’s men are out of contention for top spot but are not dead and buried just yet.

We say: Denmark 2-1 Serbia

All four Group C matches so far have been extremely close-run affairs, and this battle ought to be no different given what is at stake, but Serbia’s talented attackers just have not clicked in the final third so far.

Such shortcomings should prove fatal against a fired-up Denmark team who gave England a terrific run for their money, as Hjulmand’s side prolong their Euro 2024 adventure and sent Stojkovic’s men packing at the first hurdle.
