Now the autumn months have truly set in, it’s normal to crave a bit of sunshine.
As the rain becomes more frequent and temperatures dip, it can leave you feeling a little glum. Perhaps that’s why some people look around for cheap holidays at this time of year.
One Turkey resident has recently shown off what the holiday hotspot has to offer during the autumn that could tempt people to visit. Apparently the temperatures are still pretty high – in fact, it’s nearly exactly like summer.
TikTok creator mediterraneanproperty recently showed some of the benefits of visting the country during the quieter months of the year. The property specialist revealed that, even though it can rain during the evening, you can often wake up to 32C sunshine in the morning.
It’s pretty clear that temperatures are still soaring at the popular destination. As long as you don’t mind risking a shower or two, the weather is still glorious.
The video warns of potential rain, so do be sure to pack an umbrella and consider taking some extra layers for cooler evenings too.
Regardless of it getting a little chillier, people are excited about their upcoming trips to Turkey. Many have also said the weather is perfect for them in autumn – as it’s not too hot.
One person asked: “I go 21st October for a week. Is it still hot?” The content creator replied: “Yes, it’s hot daytime. Cooler nights, but not cold.”
Another wrote: “Would love to live in Turkey from October to April.” A third replied: “Just home – was 36 on Sunday. So so hot – love it.”
Meanwhile, a fourth offered a different view, writing: “Bring it on – am ready for some rain.”
Last week Brits were told to be vigilant on their travels though, as tourists have fallen victim to a “big time scam” in Turkey. Scott, known as official_scottylum2 on TikTok, recently posted a video explaining the problem.
The content creator, who documents life in Turkey, said there’s one thing tourists need to be “very careful” with in Armutalan, Marmaris. He admitted he would never advise anyone not to visit the area, as it offers the “kind of vibe” people want when they’re on holiday. But, he also said people need to be “very careful” during their stays.
In the clip, he said: “Try to not bring your bank card out. Me personally, I got scammed for a considerable amount of money. I’m not even going to go into it, but be careful of people looking at you while you type your card number in.
“Be very vigilant here. Now, also be very careful of the drinks here. I’ve made a video about this before. Just be very careful with them.”
