Alexis Mac Allister and Kostas Tsimikas are major doubts for Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea today. And the Reds are already without Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott for the match.

Liverpool host Enzo Maresca’s resurgent side hoping to stay top of the Premier League after winning six of their opening seven fixtures.

‌

But the last victory at Crystal Palace came at a cost, with Alisson going down with a hamstring problem in the second half and scans later revealing he’d be out until the November intternational break at the earliest, although Arne Slot expects the Brazilian to return for the festive period.

Mac Allister was also brought off in that game with a groin complaint and despite featuring for 60 minutes when Argentina took on Bolivia during the international break, the midfielder did not feature in full training on Friday as he completed work away from the main group.

‌

That makes him a major doubt for the match against Chelsea, with Slot hoping he proves his fitness late on. The same can be said for Kostas Tsimikas, who also suffered a knock during the international break.

Elliott, meanwhile, continues to work his way to full fitness following a broken foot sustained in September. Liverpool will hope to have him fully fit in the near future.

There is no update on Federico Chiesa, however, with the Italian also not training with the main group on Friday after missing the wins over Bologna and Crystal Palace with an injury of his own.

Wataru Endo is available after suffering from illness during the international break.
