The force has called for anyone who witnesses the incident to come forward. “Anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage should call police on 101 or X @MetCC quoting 3961/22AUG,” the statement urged.

A spokesperson for Chessington World of Adventures said the “isolated incident” involved three guests.
“The emergency services were immediately alerted and the resort’s fully trained first aid team administered care until ambulance teams arrived,” they said.
“We are fully supporting the Metropolitan Police with their investigation,” the spokesperson added.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service (LAS) said they were “called at 2.43pm on Thursday, August 22, to reports of a stabbing on Leatherhead Road, Chessington.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer,” they added.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two people at the scene and took one patient to a major trauma centre.”
