The TTG Media Travel Awards shortlist for 2024 has been released and Howard Travel in Trowbridge and Travel by Hannah in Marlborough are both thrilled to have made the cut.
The annual awards see hundreds of agents from across the UK go through an extensive judging process where they are assessed by tour operators and travel trade journalists from the Travel Trade Gazette.
Only five travel agencies in the South West region have made it onto the prestigious top 50 shortlist: Butterfly Travel in Nailsea, C The World in Bristol, Global Independent Travel in Clevedon, Howard Travel in Trowbridge and Travel by Hannah in Marlborough.
For Marlborough resident Hannah Porter who set up Travel By Hannah in 2020, this is her fourth year running being shortlisted for the award.
“Out of hundreds of applicants we are so honoured to keep our space for this precious recognition,” said Hannah.
“This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team and the incredible support from our business partners and fundamentally all our fabulous customers.
“Together, we’ve made 2024 our best year yet, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this milestone!”

Led by Hannah, Milla, Billy and Lily from 16 High Street, the business has become a thriving High Street shop in just four years, with over 300 operators to work alongside and hundreds of five-star reviews.
Hannah added: “We’re counting down the days until we return to Victoria Warehouse in Manchester for a night to remember in April 2025. It’s going to be a celebration of hard work, passion, and amazing partnerships.”
Howard Travel in Trowbridge, the second Wiltshire travel agency to make the shortlist, is also no stranger to the TTG Media awards.
The Church Walk-based travel agency, which is part of the Norad Travel Group, has been shortlisted almost every year since the Top 50 award was launched.
The Trowbridge branch is ably run by Wayne, Kimara, Lisa C, Lisa B, Becci, Julie, Gemma, Kate and Leonie.
Norad Travel Group managing director, Linda Foote, told the Wiltshire Times: “It’s testament to the inspirational expertise customer service and dedication of our team in Trowbridge to again be recognised by our industry peers with our highest place yet in the UK’s top 50 travel agencies.”
“We intend to keep on doing what we do best.”
