Let’s not forget about how much it costs to park there for the day. However, new research has found the UK seaside town with the cheapest parking.
So, if you’re planning a day out with the family this summer you might want to make note of the prices.
Research from Compare The Market has looked at popular UK seaside destinations based price of parking to determine the results.
They found Barry in Wales offered the most affordable parking, costing just £2.50 for six hours.
Lowestoft comes in second with parking costs of £3.15 for six hours, followed by Bexhill (£3.43) and Wallasey (£4.27).

Meanwhile, the research found the most popular beaches in the UK. As well as looking into car parking, they wanted to find out which beaches in the UK Brits are searching for the most.
Bournemouth came out on top, with an average of 74,000 Google searches per month for ‘Bournemouth beach’. And it is no wonder thanks to its beautiful, sandy beach known for its cleanliness.
Brighton scores silver, earning on average 49,500 searches each month. Brighton Beach is famous for its vibrant atmosphere and its Palace Pier. Finally, in third place is Margate with 27,100 searches per month.
