Victoria’s Secret Angels are getting ready to spread their wings after a six-year hiatus on the runway tonight.
After being embroiled in fierce controversy, the fashion show is back with a dazzling performance.
In May, following a desperate attempt to transform the brand to include more body-positive messages, the lingerie brand announced that it would be bringing back their show-stopping Angels.
Now, the show has finally returned with iconic models like Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid and Paloma Elsesser – and viewers can watch the beauties strut their stuff from the comfort of their home.
The fashion spectacle is set to premiere Tuesday, October 15 at 7pm ET on Prime Video.

According to Victoria’s Secret, the show will bring back the ‘glamour, wings, fashion and musical entertainment our customers know and love – with our values and brand mission of today at the forefront.’
The last time the show aired was in 2018. The Angels were set to grace TV screens with their beauty again in 2019, however, due to declining ratings, the show came to a screeching halt.
After listening to fans begging for the show to make its comeback, the lingerie chain finally revealed that the models would be parading down the runway once again.
‘We’ve read the comments and heard you,’ Victoria’s Secret shared to Instagram back in May.
Viewers are expecting a jaw-dropping experience with the show’s comeback as they have been prepping to enjoy it.
In addition to the models, audience members will get to see musical headliners such as Tyla sing her heart out.
The lingerie brand revealed they chose the songstress because of her ‘vibrant personality,’ according to the press release obtained by Rolling Stone.
Now, as the Angels get glammed up to boast their beauty on the runway, FEMAIL has lifted the lid on all there is to know about the show’s comeback and what stunning faces you can expect to see.

Why was the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show canceled?
In 2019, the show was canceled due to immense criticism about the brand’s lack of diversity and declining ratings (Barbara Palvin seen in 2018)
For many years the Angels were known as the modeling industry’s most elite, with the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show being held as the most coveted runway event in fashion.
Although models began parading down the runway in 1995, the show started being broadcasted live on TV in 2001, which allowed millions of people across the globe to tune in to watch the icons.
However, in 2019, the show was canceled due to immense criticism about the brand’s lack of diversity after a slew of eyebrow-raising information about the founder came to light as well offensive comments about plus-sized women and trans people.
That year, former CEO Les Wexner released a statement revealing the brand would be heading in a different direction.
He said: ‘Fashion is a business of change. We must evolve and change to grow. With that in mind, we have decided to re-think the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Going forward, we don’t believe network television is the right fit.’
The original Victoria’s Secret was founded in 1977 by a businessman named Roy Raymond, who created the store after he felt uncomfortable going into a department store to buy his wife lingerie. He said he wanted men to feel comfortable buying lingerie.

In 2022, the brand sank further when Hulu released a docuseries, entitled Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons
After Raymond sold the brand to Wexner, the focus shifted. Wexner recognized a huge opportunity to market his brand directly to women, and for decades, the lingerie store represented a sense of desirability and unattainable body standards.
In 2022, the brand sank further when Hulu released a docuseries, entitled Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons, which offered a glimpse into the connection between Jefferey Epstein and Wexner.
The series highlighted Wexner’s close relationship with billionaire pedophile Epstein and showed the brand’s speedy rise – and epic fall.
The documentary came three years after Epstein died by suicide in jail, where he was awaiting his trial for charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex, crimes that he is believed to have committed over a span of decades, including during the time when he was working with Wexner.
On top of the bizarre relationship between Wexner and Epstein, Victoria’s Secret was also known for the part it played in promoting unrealistic or unhealthy body standards.

In the 2000s, the ‘perfect’ body was depicted by the glamorous Victoria Secret’s Angels.
Former Victoria Secret’s model Bridget Malcolm, 31, previously revealed how she’s changed the way she views herself and the world around her, after recovering from an eating disorder.
Why is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show coming back?

Following the intense controversy, the company switched leadership and attempted to rebrand under the rule of CEO Hillary Super.
When the brand shifted its core values, customers came flocking back over to get their hands on its racy lingerie.
As business boomed, many customers revealed that they missed the iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and soon flooded the brand with pleas to bring it back.
Finally, in May, Victoria’s Secret revealed it was bringing the beloved yet controversial event back.
The company now notes that it stands for a different set of values then it once did.
‘We’ve centered ourselves around what our customer wants and needs – making sure that they are proud to shop at Victoria’s Secret.
‘We have moved from promoting an exclusionary view of what’s sexy, to celebrating all women throughout every phase of their lives.”
‘We will continue this work and look to be an industry leader in retail innovation, fashion, sustainability, and continuous ingenuity—getting to the heart of what our diverse customer base wants,’ a statement released in August read.
