A woman has urged Brits not to visit Dubai – but for a very surprising reason.
The content creator, known as thisismymomentnow on TikTok, said people shouldn’t visit the country for a vital reason – no other holiday will ever compare. She urged people “don’t go”.
In the video, she said: “I don’t really mean that – don’t book a holiday to Dubai. Not any particular hotel. Any particular area.
“Just all of it – every single bit of it. Avoid it like the plague, and I’m going to tell you why. Any Middle Eastern lovely place – just avoid it honestly. Do yourself a favour, and scroll on.”
Her comments come after she recently visited the holiday destination and, now, she said holidays to other places like Turkey, Spain and Mexico don’t look as nice. She simply can’t go anywhere else following her trip.
She said the holiday “ruined” her as it was so lovely – and now life will never be the same. If you ever visit, she said you will “never holiday anywhere else again”.
Since she made the confession, the video has gained a lot of attention, and several people commented. They admitted hotels there look “gorgeous”.
One person said: “I travel to Qatar every few weeks as my partner works there. Hotels don’t compare anywere else.” Another wrote: “Omg – Doha was a dream. Also, Olman will leave you speechless. It’s a whole different world out there.”
A third replied: “Dubai three star is better than most five stars I’ve seen in other countries, especially the USA.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “I went to Dubai and now can’t holiday anywhere else. I need to go back, but my bank balance isn’t balacing.”
After the video was posted, she had to publish a follow-up, as it garnered such a big reaction. It’s been viewed more than 250,000 times, and she can’t believe how many people tuned in.
She explained she posted the video as “a bit of a joke”, as now she’ll always want to go there. Of course, this kind of situation doesn’t bode well for anyone’s bank balance.
In the clip, she said she uses her platform to try and help people save money and, while she would never tell anyone not to visit, she said you will only want to go back as there’s so much “good stuff” on offer.
She added: “If you ever want to be in a really good financial situation just don’t keep holidaying in the Middle East, because you’ll be hooked. I am. I’m happy to spend every penny I’ve got – get me back there.
“Take me. I’ll sell the lot. Sell up. Gone. Done. That’s what that post was about.”
