Must read

Do you have the guts to plunge into the world’s deepest pool?

This isn’t a challenge for the faint of heart… The colossal swimming spot boasts everything from a subaquatic metropolis to a flat and even arcade machines – ideal for a swift match of FIFA with friends.

Nestled in Dubai, this 60-metre marvel showcases a zone designed to mimic a submerged, decrepit city complete with walls, adorned chambers, motorcycles and even a billiards table.

Named as Deep Dive Dubai, it can double as a submerged movie set. The towering 200ft aqua haven could leave swimmers breathless – it astonishingly took 41 days to fill.

It swung open its doors in July 2021, seizing the title of world’s deepest swimming pool. An Instagram video lately made rounds displaying the spine-chilling pool, with the sharer revealing hints about the exhilarating venture.

The caption stated: “Did you know? @deepdivedubai is the deepest pool in the world – 60 meters deep!

“There’s an entire underwater city to explore, with abandoned cars, an apartment, and even arcade games. It took 41 days to fill it up! Who’s ready to dive here?”

Whether you’re a novice diver or looking for a thrill, Deep Dive Dubai offers a variety of educational sessions to get you going. Qualified tutors are available to cover the diving essentials and guide your inaugural dive.

Deep Dive Dubai, a haven for experienced divers, offers the thrilling opportunity to explore a submerged city independently.

The facility is kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, including underwater scooters and cameras, to ensure an adrenaline-pumping experience.

Wondering about the cost?

It’s not cheap… As of September 2021, prices range from AED 800 for a beginner dive to AED 1,600 for a certified dive. In UK currency, that’s between £170-£360, but the unique sights make it worth every penny.

Social media users have been quick to react, with one commenting: “New fear unlocked.” Another quipped: “So Stranger Things is real.”
