Worldwide Golf Brands appoints new regional UK sales manager

Must read

Worldwide Golf Brands has appointed experienced golf retail expert Matt Beddoes as Area Sales Manager for Oscar Jacobson, MacGregor, Stuburt, BIG MAX and ZOOM in the South East of England and the Channel Islands.

Starting immediately. Matt brings a wealth of experience in golf retail having previously held the position of pro shop manager at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort in Hampshire, and golf operations and retail manager at Bowood in Wiltshire. With a broad range of experience from the other side of the register, Matt is excited to apply his knowledge and understanding of buyer’s needs.

“Old Thorns and Bowood are completely different operations with very specific needs,” commented Matt. “My time at both has shown that what suits one golf venue will not necessarily suit another, and that is why working with WWGB particularly appeals.

“Across the five key brands we have such a breadth of style, product and price point that we really will have something to suit any venue. Whether it’s premium apparel with OJ, or starter sets with MacGregor, I know I can go into any venue with something that will sell well.”

Over the coming months Matt plans to start building relationships with buyers across his territories, starting with the Spring 2025 pre-book. With exciting new lines, including fresh new designs for Oscar Jacobson, plus main line and LIV team capsule collections for Stuburt, the initial period is set to be very busy.

“People who know how to retail bring a really valuable knowledge base to the team,” commented Graeme Stevens, Managing Director at Worldwide Golf Brands. “Matt showed from day one that he understands the distinct customer for each brand and also the opportunities we have to push into new markets. We have some fantastic new products for 2025 and Matt has an important role to play in our success.”
